The Master's programme in Intelligent Mechatronic Systems focuses on enhancing the components mechanics, electronics and computer science with artificial intelligence, machine learning and intelligent control systems. The aim is to develop autonomous, adaptive and efficient systems that can be used in a wide range of industries, from the automotive industry to robotics. Admission Requirements and Selection Procedure

Before applying to Heilbronn University, non-German Bachelor degrees need to be declared equivalent to a German first degree.
Therefore, please follow the steps mentioned here: https://www.hs-heilbronn.de/en/master-application

Please note: 
The following expected entry and admission requirements are to be met:

  • Proof of a domestic or foreign bachelor's degree with a workload of 210 ECTS credits. Conditions apply to applicants with at least 180 ECTS. 
  • First degree with at least 50% engineering content
  • Professional aptitude for the respective degree programme
  • A degree with honours, i.e. a grade of 2.5 or better (German grading scale) in the Bachelor's degree.
  • Good command of the English language (at least B2 level)
Please submit the following documents with your application - scheduled to start not before mid-May! 
  • Bachelor's certificate and transcript of records in German or English
  • Certificate of Recognition of your international first degree. 
  • Documentation of an engineering project (machine-readable and in PDF format) worked on by the applicant (e.g. Bachelor's Thesis) 
    • of 10 to 40 pages (chapters: Introduction, Methods, Results, References), 
    • including an abstract of up to 500 words
    • topic: in the field of intelligent mechatronic systems
    • filled in Cover Sheet (see form here)
    • a written confirmation from the supervisor (either a signed document or an e-mail sent from the supervisor's university e-mail address to master-te@hs-heilbronn.de)
  • Proof of your English language skills
  • APS certificate, if applicable
