As a centrally based support unit, our department reports to the Vice-Rectorate for International Affairs and Diversity. Our team of eight staff members develops structures and processes and supports other departments at HHN on all matters relating to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Gender Equality Officer helps to ensure that the constitutional principle of equal opportunities for women and men is upheld. Her work focuses on the academic sector. She provides support and advice to female students, female research staff and female professors. Female applicants for academic posts are also invited to get in touch with the Gender Equality Officer.

The Equal Opportunities Officer supports the achievement of equal opportunities for women and men in the civil service. She is therefore responsible for the non-academic sector. Non-academic staff and anyone interested in such posts will find the right point of contact here. 

The Representative for People with Severe Disabilities promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities and those with severe disabilities at the HHN, represents their interests and provides them with advice and support. The elected members act as points of contact for staff and professors on all matters relating to this area and also refer matters to the representatives for students with disabilities.
