Application for Incomings

Incomings from our partner universities are first nominated by their home university for a study period in Heilbronn.

They then apply for admission with the International Office of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. 

All further information including the online-application link will be sent from the International Office after the nomination by your home university.

For incoming students of our partner universities, there are two application deadlines per year:

Application deadline:

  • 15 May for the following winter semester

  • 01 December for the following summer semester

Please note:

We can only consider applications that have been submitted online with all the necessary documents ( !!! ) within the application deadline

By these dates, students must have filled in the online application forms, printed them out and had them signed (by the responsible person at their home university). Together with their full application, they must upload the following documents:

  • passport sized photo
  • Copy of passport (Non-EU-Students) or ID-card (EU-Students)
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Certified copy of transcript of records  (German or English version with signature and stamp from your coordinator at your home university)
  • Choice of subjects (download available in the application portal)
  • Registration for German intensive course (only for winter semester)
  • Application form with signature and stamp from your coordinator at your home university
  • Registration for the introduction programme

Additional for applicants of master courses:

  • Certified copy of the bachelor's certificate (English version with signature and stamp from your coordinator at your home university)

Additional for applicants for master courses of Faculty International Business  (MIBIM, MITM)

  • The following proofs of proficiency will be accepted:

In order to assure a high quality of English in the Master course, applicants are required to proof a high proficiency in English by one of the following certifications:

  • IELTS min. 6.0 overall band score
  • TOEFL internet based test min. 79 points
  • TOEFL paper based test min. 550 points
  • Cambridge CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) min. C

    The TOEFL code of Heilbronn University is 2751. No other certificates are accepted.

    Please note that suitable proofs do not include:

  • A first degree completely taught in English
  • Certificates issued by universities

    Only native speakers of English are exempt from this requirement.**

    **A native speaker is considered to be someone who was raised in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK, USA.

Additional for applicants for master courses of Faculty of Business and Transport Management (MU):

You will need good language knowledge in English for the master programme Business Managment (MU), certificated by one of the following tests:

  •  TOEFL-Test (paper-based version) with at least 543 points
  •  TOEFL-Test (internet-based version) with at least 85 points
  •  IELTS Test Level 6.5 (in all modules)
  •  UCLES-Test (Cambridge Certificate) with at least 173 points
  •  ICC-Test (Certificate in English for Business Purposes) with at least. 60 points
  •  BEC-Test (Business English Certificate) with at least BEC Vantage
  •  TOEIC-Test with at least 785 points
  •  Unicert-Test with at least level 2
  •  KMK-Zertifikat with at least level 3
  •  AACSB English B2 Ability Test with at least approved.
  • The certificate may not be older than three years at the time of the date of the application deadline.

After the cmpletion of the uploads of all application documents, we will send you a letter of admission, including all further information on your studies at our University, within four to six weeks following the application deadline.

If you have applied for a room at one of our student accommodations, you will be informed in mid-July (for the winter semester) or in mid-January (for the summer semester) of whether you will get the room.

In the time following you will receive e-mails from the International Office with reference 'Important News from International Office'.

Please check your incoming mail regularly and respond to our request (e.g. opening of bank account, healt insurance, room search, trial ticket, semester fee)
