Prof. Dr. Michael Erner
Michael Erner was born in Cologne, Germany. He studied Economics and Business Administration at the Universities of Bonn, Cologne, Paris and Klagenfurt. After 2 years in a leading German consulting company he joined Deutsche Telekom in 1994, where he held a variety of Senior Management Positions in Sales, Marketing and Strategy. During that time he spend more than 5 years in international ventures abroad and more than 3 years in international Management and Business Development. He supported several start-ups as head of Product Management and was Chief Strategist and Director of Strategy in one of Deutsche Telekom´s largest joint ventures. From 2005 until 2010 he worked for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories in Berlin, where amongst others he established and headed the innovation-field “Automobile” and promoted it to become one of Deutsche Telekom´s top strategic areas. In this time he also worked as a lecturer in Marketing, International Marketing and Change Management at the FHTW in Berlin and most recently the Heilbronn University. Since 2010 he is Professor for International Strategic Management. His research activities are in the area of Innovation, Strategic and International Management, where he has published several book articles, books and conference papers.
