Enrollment and Status of Doctoral Candidates at HHN

The State Higher Education Act requires all doctoral candidates to be registered and enroled. These regulations are implemented by the framework doctoral regulations of the Association for Doctoral Studies at the Universites of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg.

In order to pursue a doctorate at Heilbronn University, you must enroll as a doctoral candidate at the university where you will receive your primary supervision after being accepted by the Association for Doctoral Studies and re-register each semester.

Enrollment takes place in person at the Student Affairs Office by Ms. Yvonne Rietzschel. 
The following information/documents are required for enrollment:

  • Letter of Acceptance from the Association for Doctoral Studies
  • Information about University Semesters
  • Information about previous periods of study
  • Verification of valid health insurance
  • Verification of payment of the semester fee
