The Energy Management program taught me the interconnections between energy, technology, and business. The close-knit atmosphere, knowledgeable mentors, and incredible laboratory facilities were influential for me. After three years as a project manager in building automation, I founded my own company in 2019 with the goal of minimizing cable installation for building automation, generating more building data, and optimizing its utilization.

Course Content & Focus

The course equips students with the fundamentals of engineering and management that are essential for understanding energy systems and their further development towards sustainable systems. Basic studies include mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and computer science while main studies concentrate on energyfocu-sed classes besides business and engineering classes. In hands-on labs students practice and apply what they learn in a dynamic and supportive en-vironment. Projects aligned with industry partners enable students to explore the energy and environmental challenge.

The Energy Systems Engineering and Management course deals with how energy is generated, stored, distribu-ted and used in an environmentally friendly and efficient way. Our students are able to make their own contributi-on to the sustainable reorientation of energy systems. They learn to optimize existing energy concepts and candesign new energy supply options, taking into account the availability of raw materials, the sustainable reduction of environ-mental pollution and the pricing mechanisms of the energy industry.
