Within 2 weeks after your arrival, you must register your residence with the Residents‘ Registration Office “Bürgeramt” at the city hall (Rathaus) at the ground floor. This step is mandatory for all. After you have registered, get a confirmation of registration and keep this well as you need the confirmation of registration when you apply for the residence permit.
Due to coronavirus outbreak, if you are in Heilbronn an online appointment must be made in advance here or if you live in Schwäbisch Hall, you can just go to the Residents’ registration office during the opening hours.
