>> RESPONSIBLE AI: Ethics, Innovation, Practice

As artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded in business, public institutions, and everyday life, questions of ethics, responsibility, safety, and sustainability have become central to contemporary debate. With the global economy undergoing an AI-driven transformation, this topic has taken on an entirely new meaning and significance.

In this context, responsible AI is no longer only a technical issue, but also a practical and societal challenge that requires critical reflection, interdisciplinary cooperation, and application-oriented problem-solving.

Hosted in Heilbronn, one of the central hubs of the German and European AI ecosystem, this international summer school brings together advanced Bachelor‘s and Master‘s students from diverse backgrounds to explore the foundations and real-world implementation of responsible AI. Through interactive seminars, collaborative challenge-based learning, and practice-oriented field visits, participants engage with key debates on AI ethics and responsible innovation while developing concrete solutions to current AI-related challenges in business and innovation ecosystems. With a growing landscape of emerging AI businesses and institutions such as IPAI located in the region, Heilbronn provides an especially dynamic setting for examining responsible AI at the intersection of ethics, innovation, and practice.

The summer school is part of HHN‘s membership in EUonAIR. The programme is open to all eligible students; priority will be given to students of the EUonAIR alliance. Scholarship support for travel and accommodation is available to EUonAIR students.
