Heilbronn University has decided to develop technical tools and didactic concepts that promote collaboration and interaction. In particular, cross-subject, cross-faculty and cross-university cooperation should be strengthened or made possible. With InduKo we are strengthening this interdisciplinary, cross-faculty and cross-location cooperation with innovative digital tools and modern, digitally supported approaches to promoting motivation and in this way create innovation through collaboration. To this end, we work actively with students on development.
All project components interlock, but can also be used individually and across universities. The project was classified as eligible for funding by the Innovation in University Teaching Foundation.
In the 2019/2020 winter semester, a five-strong student project team from the business informatics course developed an app for the archaeological collection of the Museum im Deutschhof in Heilbronn. The aim was to make visiting the museum more attractive, especially for younger visitors. In terms of content, the students dealt more specifically with two archaeological topics, about which you can now find out more in the app. The task was to design the app both conceptually and technically in cooperation with the client. When generating content-related ideas, the students used design thinking and creativity techniques. The project was very well suited for the students to gain practical experience in the field of app development.
The app is currently in a test phase and is to be expanded further.

Challenge: How can we recognize contexts of business environments from sensor data?
Industry partner: SAP SE, Strategic UX Innovation
Motivation and company value: A mobile app is only mobile because of the device. It doesn't take into account the user's environment. The user's environment can fundamentally change the way they work: are you able to speak? Can you move your hands freely? Are you able to concentrate in the same way as before? Need local data to help you?
