Prof. Dr. Mahsa Fischer
The Project Lead of the research Project "Innovation durch Kollaboration" (InduKo) and the development of an application for psychosocial cancer consulting. Also works as a mentor for woman in IT and computer science.
Mentor for woman in IT and computer science:
Professor Mahsa Fischer opened the workshop by talking about her own experiences as a woman in business informatics. These strengthened her resolve to build such a network:
"Promoting women in business informatics is not only a question of equality, but also a strategic necessity for the success of our digital future."
Together, the various needs of the female students were collected: technical workshops, career topics and soft skills are also on the young women's wish list. The initiative is supported by Melanie Schiffner, who is in charge of the "stereotype-free choice of studies" department at HHN.
With the focus around german culture, corporate norms and government policy there was a great AI Monday Heilbronn of 2023.
Speakers:
Prof. Dr. Mahsa Fischer (Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik)
Anamaria Cristescu (Fraunhofer IAO)
Arpita Sarker (Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik)
We had the last InduKo project workshop of the year 2023 on Monday.
It was nice to see how far the sub projects have been developed and how many ideas we could find to integrate the subprojects to increase the value for our target group, the students, researchers and professors of the university.
It was a great experience at ICERI 2023 conference on Education, Research and Innovation. We have presented our work in the field of projectbased learning in Computer Science in higher education and had great discussions.
We also had an engaging information exchange with colleagues of other universities about AI in education and applications of ChatGPT in lectures.
On the subject of "Sustainable Management of Project Work Results in Computer Science" the team, represented by Prof. Dr. Mahsa Fischer, Svenja Rößler and Daniel Szafarski present our latest results at the EUCEN Conference in Utrecht.
It was very exciting for us to learn from the community that many other universities are also dealing with the topic of "reusability" of student results. The concept of "IdeaLize" was received with interest by many participants. We were very happy about this positive feedback and took many thoughts and ideas home with us.
On May 15th, 2023 we had the pleasure of holding our internal project workshop, where we regularly exchanged information about the progress of our sub-projects.
The aim was to get an overview of the current progress and current challenges and to work out solutions together. It was great to see the team members in person and exchange ideas in an inspiring atmosphere. The direct personal contact made the workshop a special experience and strengthened our cooperation. The workshop gave us the opportunity to learn from and inspire each other.
A three-day event all about the future of higher education: University:Future Festival (U:FF) – Heads up! will take place from 26 to 28 April 2023 in the physical as well as in the digital space.
The principle is: Digital first! The festival in all its diversity can only be experienced online. Physical stages at various locations in Germany will enable encounters and networking in person. The festival is bilingual in German and English.
Strengthening interdisciplinary work by building a hybrid project platform by InduKo.

#makeithappen - The result is not always the goal, sometimes it is the way to get there.
Initiated by the STARTKLAR start-up center and donated by the Arnfried and Hannelore Meyer Foundation, the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences now offers 2 new rooms for innovative romp: The Makerspace and the DigiLab.
With a total of 300m² of versatile prototyping world, students now have space for AI, virtual reality, 3D modulation and gaming, among other things.
The newly created platform is intended to encourage students, researchers and cooperation partners in the regional ecosystem to jointly develop projects, start-up projects and formats that bring something new into the world and accelerate the transfer of innovation to the region.
Workshop with all sub-projects of InduKo. Exciting and interesting insights into the work of the various projects.
At the Science Night, young and old have the opportunity to visit the Heilbronn educational campus to see what is taught, learned and researched at the HHN.
The interaction of people and machines in our everyday work and life is nothing new. So far it has been the human being who has told the machine what to do and the machine has carried it out. In recent years, however, there has been movement and change in this interplay. The increasing collaboration between humans and machines leads to a changed distribution of tasks with the use of artificial intelligence. Machines take over routine activities, observe and prepare options for action and act with foresight. The aim of human-computer interaction (HCI) is to shape these changes in the interests of humans.
Design Thinking and Innovation, Lecture on May 3rd, 2021 by Prof. Dr. Mahsa Fischer, Heilbronn University, as part of the "Virtual Lecture Series on Business Informatics".
