Dieter Schwarz Stiftung – Supporting IdeaLize & the Heilbronn Region

The Dieter Schwarz Foundation (Dieter Schwarz Stiftung) is one of  the most significant educational and research foundations in Germany,  with a strong focus on fostering lifelong learning, innovation, and  applied research in the Heilbronn-Franken region.

The Foundation  supports Hochschule Heilbronn (HHN) in multiple ways, from providing  premises at the Bildungscampus to funding innovative research and  development projects, and promoting the Deutschlandstipendium  scholarship programme.  Beyond HHN, the Dieter Schwarz Foundation is a key driver of  the region's AI ambitions. As a founding partner of the Innovation  Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) — one of Europe's most ambitious  AI ecosystems, the Foundation is helping build a world-class  environment for applied AI research and commercialization in Heilbronn.

In the context of IdeaLize, the Dieter Schwarz Foundation provided  a dedicated 6-month sponsorship to scale the platform into a broader  regional hub. This phase focused on expanding the LLM-based matching  system to connect students, researchers, and staff across key  institutional partners in the Heilbronn ecosystem — including HHN,  IPAI, Technische Universität München (TUM), Heilbronn 42, DHBW,  Fraunhofer ISI, and Fraunhofer IAO.  This support reflects the Foundation's broader mission: to reduce  knowledge silos, uncover hidden expertise, and create a connected  regional innovation network where ideas can grow into lasting impact.
