DAAD GROWTH – Growing International Reach at HHN

With over 200 partner universities, international study programmes,  and students from more than 100 countries, Hochschule Heilbronn (HHN)  is already a globally connected university. Building on its Strategic  Development Plan (SEP) 2026–2030 and the vision "We are an  international university", HHN aims to significantly expand its  internationalization by 2030.  This is where GROWTH comes in — "Growing international Reach and  creating Opportunities to Work Together on Holistic approaches to  internationalization." The project's core goal is to build a  sustainable, strategically anchored network connecting partner  universities and companies under the "Connected Workplace" concept.  This network serves as a collaboration platform and innovation driver  across the entire student journey — from the first semester to  career entry.  A key focus is developing digital tools to promote internationalization  "at home." This includes a Buddy Matching and Language Tandem platform  to connect international and local students, fostering integration,  language practice, and intercultural skills. A digital Case Study  Platform will also be developed, allowing companies to submit real-world  cases for student teams to solve in international formats. Schwarz  Corporate Solutions and ebm-papst have already expressed their interest  via a Letter of Intent. The IdeaLize collaboration platform will be  iteratively developed and tested to support these digital tools.  While HHN already has strong international activities in education and  research, GROWTH specifically targets areas such as digitalization and  diversity, integrating additional departments into the university's  internationalization strategy. International business partnerships will  further strengthen the focus on practice and knowledge transfer.
