Im dem von der Carl Zeiss Stiftung geförderten Center for industrial AI (iAI) werden anhand von industriellen Anwendungen Potentiale und Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes von KI in Produktionsprozessen mittelständischer Unternehmen erforscht.

Der Einsatz von KI in der Produktion fällt gerade vielen mittelständischen Unternehmen immer noch schwer. Angepasste KI-Lösungen lassen sich zu wenig auf andere Anwendungsfälle übertragen. Die Einrichtung und Bedienung der KI-Ansätze erfordern tiefes fachliches Knowhow. Diesen Problemstellungen will das Zentrum forschungsseitig begegnen und soll insbesondere Firmen bei der Einführung Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) unterstützen.

Mit dem im Februar 2022 ins Leben gerufenen Center for industrial AI teilt die HHN ihr Fachwissen im direkten Austausch mit den Industriepartnern. Neben den exemplarisch untersuchten Anwendungen sichert die dauerhafte Einrichtung des Zentrums einen nachhaltigen Ergebnistransfer in die Region.
