Protection Against Discrimination and Bullying

What is discrimination?

HHN University of Heilbronn takes a clear stance against discrimination on grounds of gender, ethnic or social origin, appearance, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief. Violence, bullying and stalking are also prohibited. Discrimination might sometimes be hard to identify as such and is not always clear-cut. Please do not hesitate to contact us even in such situations as these. We can help you.

Who can you contact?

The university has set up contact points that you can turn to in confidence if you feel you are being discriminated against or bullied. They will discuss your options with you and, if necessary, accompany you in taking further steps to resolve the conflict.

The HHN AGG complaints office is responsible for formal complaints under Section 13 of the General Act on Equal TreatmentAllgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG).

Before making a formal complaint, you will receive detailed advice on the procedure either from the complaints office (AGG-Beschwerdestelle) or from one of the contact points. You can also read about the procedure in the HHN statutes on protection against discrimination.

All contact persons will treat your request as strictly confidential and work with you to find solutions.
