Introducing our new Bachelor of Arts in International Business (IB-E), a study programme taught entirely in English!
The Bachelor of Arts in International Business (IB-E) prepares students with not only the fundamental knowledge of the full range of business disciplines, but also the important language and cultural skills necessary for a career in Germany and abroad. With all courses taught in English, non-German speaking students focus on learning German and the German business environment, while German students wishing to study an English programme focus on a third language and cultural area (mirroring our IBIS program; for more details click here).
Would you like to learn more about the IB-E program and how it can prepare you for the challenges multinational organizations are facing both now and in the future? Then join one of our upcoming interactive, online information sessions! We will also provide information about the city of Heilbronn, the university and faculty, our state-of-the-art campus, as well as everything you need to know about the admission requirements and application process.
No sessions are currently scheduled. However, if you would like to receive an individual online consultation, please send an email to ksenia.funk@hs-heilbronn.de
The expanding world of business is opening up excellent career prospects for managers who are interested in practice-oriented Business Administration with intercultural knowledge and communicative skills in English, German and other foreign languages. Many internationally orientated companies in Germany are looking for academically trained specialists. This degree programme qualifies you for these jobs and gives you the language and cultural skills you need for a successful career.
For our non-German speaking students, this means intensive study of the German language and business environment to prepare you to enter the German labor market. This "Study-to-Stay" programme ensures your success in Germany following graduation.
For our German speaking students, this means choosing a language and economic/cultural area from among French/Francophone World, Russian/Eastern Europe, or Arabic/Orient.
Alongside the language and economic/cultural area aspects of the IB-E programme, students complete a core programme of business courses that cover the full range of business disciplines, including finance, acccounting, economics, marketing, human resources, management, and business law.
In addition to the core curriculum, students select both a major and minor as focuses of their degree. Possible majors and minors include:
As part of the programme, students complete an internship which provides the opportunity to apply what they have learned and gain valuable practical experience in their chosen field of study.
Through the programme's combination of practice-oriented business management, technical and methodological competences as well as intercultural, economic and entrepreneurial competences, you will be well-prepared to apply your new expertise and perspectives in your career with internationally focused businesses and organisations.
