Course Content

The Business Engineering Logistics degree program equips you with all the essential skills to tackle future challenges such as digitalization, sustainability, and internationalization. You will benefit from a diverse and practice-oriented curriculum that includes:

  • Economics: occupational science & work safety, sustainability, human resources management & leadership and quality, environmental & energy management
  • Informatics: database & big data, data analytics and fundamentals of artificial intelligence
  • Logistics: logistics systems, material flow engineering, system planning & project management and warehouse management & simulation

In addition, you will deepen your expertise through a specialization in either economics or engineering.

Economics & Innovations

The specialization in economics provides insights into operations management, supply chain management, and logistics controlling in the 3rd and 4th semesters. In the 6th semester, students participate in a highly practice-oriented course: Innovation Projects.

Engineering & Artificial Intelligence

The specialization in engineering provides exciting insights into future-oriented automation and control technologies in the 3rd and 4th semesters. In the 6th semester, students gain hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art AI lab.

Admission Requirements and Application

Important Note for International Applicants:
The German language certificate (B2 level) is NOT required at the time of application or for your visa process. This requirement only applies before starting your 5th semester. The program is taught in English, and the university offers German language courses to help you reach the required level during your studies.

Freshmen Mentoring Program

Moving on to new things can be challenging! If your choose to join our Freshmen Mentoring Porgram you will be paired with your personal student mentor. Our mentors are experienced BEL students who support new BEL students throught the first weeks to get engaged with the campus and the study program. Study Week in Boston, USA

As part of our study week, 18 students from the Business Engineering Logistics program explored Bridgewater State University (BSU) in Boston, USA, together with Prof. Annett Großmann and Dr. Thomas Kriehn. The week was marked by exciting experiences and now forms the basis for future student exchanges between HHN and BSU. Thank you to the DAAD and the BMBF for supporting the project.

Highlights:

  • Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) together with the President of BSU as a foundation for future collaborations.
  • Exploring Boston, including the historic Freedom Trail.
  • Visits to the BSU campus with lectures and events on environmental geography and sustainability.
  • Insights into BSU's sustainability program and "permaculture garden".
  • Visits to Boston, including the Massachusetts State House, MIT, and Harvard.
  • Cross-cultural exchanges and new friendships.
