University Chaplaincy

The university chaplains offer counselling and support ...

  • for questions about learning organisation, stress management and exam anxiety
  • in difficult situations such as financial emergencies, pregnancy, etc.
  • for worries and in times of grief

Good to know:

  • We take time for you and listen to you.
  • Every conversation with us is confidential. Without your permission, we will not tell anyone when you were with us and what we talked about.
  • Whether you want to have a single conversation or a long-term accompaniment: you decide what is best for you!
  • If there is anything we cannot help you with, we will try to refer you to alternative counselling services.

Room of Silence and Encounter

The rooms are open for personal prayers, a short break from everyday life or a short meditation. It is used by the university chaplaincy and our students. They are open to all religions and denominations and can also be used by people who do not belong to a religious community.

The rooms are available to everyone on campus during building opening hours - please ensure that you are considerate and respectful of each other!

Please also note the counselling services offered by the Central Student Advisory Centre and the Psychosocial Counseling Centre.

If you have any questions about religious diversity, please contact the Department for Equity and Diversity.
