A Pilot Project

How do I book a low-stimulation study space?

To book a low-stimulation study space, you first need access to the booking system.

To do this, register once in the LIV's room booking tool Zeitwart: https://liv.zeitwart.de/login/via
An account will automatically be created for you. 


Then please fill in the form below. This form is used to request your access to booking the low-stimulation study spaces.

What study spaces are available and where are they located?

There are two different low-stimulation study spaces available in total:

  • a single room
    For focused, individual studying.
  • a room with two workstations
    The two places can be booked separately.

Exclusive use of the entire room is not possible here.

The low-stimulation study spaces are located on the 4th and 5th floors of the LIV at the Bildungscampus.

What are the low-stimulation study spaces like?

The low-stimulation study spaces are shielded so that very little noise enters from outside. They therefore offer a quieter environment than standard study areas.


However, it is important to note: the rooms are not completely silent. There may still be quiet sounds, such as the hum of technical equipment. If you are sensitive to noise, we recommend bringing your own aids, such as over-ear headphones, noise-cancelling headphones, or earplugs. Earplugs can also be purchased at the LIV.


We are currently exploring whether the rooms can be further improved, for example through additional noise reduction or dimmable lighting.

Representatives at the Campus Locations

The representatives for students with disabilities support and advise you on options such as reasonable adjustments or extensions to your study period. They are responsible for all forms of impairment, whether physical, psychological, or neurodivergent.

Please also get in touch with your lecturers early on and let them know if you require support during classes. This could include the use of a mobile signal transmission system, sign language interpreters, etc.
