Course content
In the Management and Human Resources degree programme you will complete a two-semester foundation course in Business Administration. In addition to the economic fundamentals of management, you will also learn about private commercial law and tax law. You will gain specific knowledge in all aspects of modern HR combined with cultural and international topics as well as basic language training in Business English.
The main course interdisciplinary skills are aquired in all relevant fields of operational and strategic human resource management. These include, amongst other things, HR policy, recruitment, incentive schemes, staff development, international assignments and HR research.
Through regular specialist lectures and field trips, you will gain an insight into current HR practices within companies. The option of spending a semester abroad arounds off your studies and broadens your international experience and perspectives.
Career perspectives
As a graduate, you will design internationally oriented HR strategies and be an integral part of them.
You will be able to manage all relevant HR processes, such as workforce planning, recruitment and staff development. You will also be able to analyse, solve and shape complex human resources issues. The programme is designed to meet the demands of advancing globalisation and demographic change.
Once you have graduated, a wide range of career opportunities will open up in the human resources departments of companies across all sectors and of all sizes. Further career opportunities can be found in the field of management consultancy. The Bachelor’s degree programme in Management and Human Resources is structured in modules. A module consists of various courses grouped together by subject area. At the end of the semester, there is one assessment for each module.
During the first two semesters, you will receive a grounding in business administration.

The main course of studies is entirely devoted to human resources and explores the various aspects of modern HR practice. Key topics include workforce planning, HR controlling, recruitment and redundancy, as well as organisational development and remuneration systems. In addition, the course covers, for example, specific legal issues relating to human resources and the particularities of international and intercultural HR management.

In the fifth semester, you will complete a practical semester, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge directly in a real-world setting and gain valuable professional experience. In addition, you will gain practical experience in human resources to inform your future Bachelor’s thesis. The aim of the practical study semester is to carry out professional work in a selected area of human resources. We recommend that you work on specific projects and in an international context. Of course, we will also support you if you undertake an internship abroad.
