Heilbronn Institute of Technology

Heilbronn Institute of Technology (HIT) is the new name of the Institute for Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics (IKM), which was founded on 5th May 2008. Within the HIT, there are centers for various research areas.

Its members are professors from various technical disciplines whose interdisciplinary cooperation is promoted and bundled.

The aim of the institute is to link teaching more closely with applied research with the help of industrial projects and to make the university's R&D achievements more visible to the outside world. Both Bachelor's and Master's students are integrated into the development and pre-competitive research activities of the regional industry.

Research Areas
