For over 20 years, we have established structures and services to support all HHN members who have family responsibilities – whether for children or relatives in need of care.

For students with aring responsibilities

For fathers, mothers and expectant mothers: the Family Service

Are you pregnant or do you already have children? The Family Service is happy to help with any questions or challenges you may have regarding studying and parenthood, for example regarding

  • arrangements for student parents (postponing exams, family-friendly study schedules, extending the duration of studies)
  • student finance when you have a child
  • childcare options at the various campuses.

For students with relatives in need of care

Students may also find themselves in a situation where they have to care for close relatives whilst studying: this is the reality for one in ten students at HHN. This responsibility can place an enormous strain on students, which is why HHN has developed special support measures and procedures to help.
