Double Degree Programme
A double degree is currently offered in the Bachelor's programme in Energy Systems Engineering and Management. Those who apply for the programme and are accepted can generally expect to spend two semesters in Spain and write a thesis that will be supervised and assessed by professors from both universities. This allows you to obtain two official degrees.
As with the regular application for a stay abroad, applications for a double degree are submitted via the International Office. The application procedure can be found on the Outgoing website.
Partner university: Universidad de Lleida, Lleida, Spain
You will receive the following degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Energy and Sustainability Engineering from the University of Lleida
- Bachelor of Science in Energy Systems Engineering and Management from HHN
Prerequisites:
- All prerequisites for completion of the HHN degree programme must be fulfilled
- The study programme at the UdL must be completed in accordance with the agreement and validated by the responsible coordinators of the double degree programme
- At least 60 ECTS credits must be obtained in accordance with the UdL's study regulations (usually in the 7th and 8th semesters), which generally corresponds to a study period of two semesters
- A total of 240 ECTS credits must be completed in accordance with the agreement
Language requirements: English B2
Start at the partner university: usually in the winter semester
Duration of the stay abroad: One year (2 semesters)
Application deadlines: 31 January (for summer and winter semesters)

- The thesis is written at the University of Lleida and is usually supervised by supervisors from both universities, usually in English.
