The Usability and Interaction Technology Laboratory (UniTyLab) is a research institute of Heilbronn University and was founded in 2013 by Professor Gerrit Meixner.
The focus of the UniTyLab is to develop novel user interfaces and innovative technologies in the area of Human-Computer Interaction and to adapt existing interaction concepts to new use cases and application domains.
The UniTyLab combines competences from four faculties of Heilbronn University to do holistic research in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. In 2015 the UniTyLab was awarded with the research transfer prize in silver from IHK Heilbronn-Franken and in 2023 with the Science Award from the Thomas Gessmann-Stiftung.
