Startup Center STARTKLAR: About Us

STARTKLAR is the startup center of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences and was founded in 2017 within the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Transfer. We promote a vibrant innovation and startup culture through our broad range of educational formats, interactive spaces and projects. Furthermore, we examine innovation processes, the interconnection between companies and society, as well as the development of startup-relevant competencies.

Interactive and diverse exchange is important to us. Within our network, we bring together students, founders, experts and companies, thereby fostering the networking of knowledge and competencies. Our goal is to sensitize people inside and outside the university to entrepreneurial thinking and to enable them to actively shape our society in the long term.

Our Services

Our goal? We want to provide a suitable and inspiring environment for all ideas and everyone who comes to us. For this, we have not only built a particularly diverse team, but also base our offering on four different pillars with which we fulfill the different needs of students, university employees and corporates. At the center is ensuring fundamental startup consulting throughout all phases of the founding process. Additionally, we offer educational formats and create spaces for interdisciplinary exchange and initial prototype development. These activities are embedded in our strong network, which we gladly make available to those interested in starting a business.

think outside the box

Our diverse event and educational formats within the framework of Studium Generale focus on startup-relevant knowledge and key qualifications for a successful startup. Our emphasis lies in the areas of personal development, entrepreneurship and leadership as well as method training. We work interdisciplinarily, open to results and practice-oriented. Furthermore, we organize public events and offer exciting opportunities for learning and networking through our founder talks, hackathons and workshops.

your ideas matter

We help you examine ideas and concepts in a protected environment and describe them precisely. This way, you learn to excite an audience for your idea and advance your vision. Together, we coordinate the next steps, refine your business plan and inform you about formats to support your venture. University-related funding opportunities are at the center of our consulting work, such as the EXIST startup scholarship for innovative startups emerging from the university.

create the change

Whether alone or in a team, spatially or financially: we create (free) spaces where you can develop ideas and first prototypes and focus intensively on your projects. For this purpose, we are opening the new HHN Makerspace at Campus Sontheim in fall 2020, where you can work independently on high-quality machines to realize your models on 3D printers or CNC milling machines. Furthermore, we are currently planning the new creative space at the education campus to provide you with another place for a fireworks display of creativity.

Both internally and externally, we maintain a network that provides necessary and still missing knowledge and resources. We help you, for example, with team matching to expand competencies and thereby come one step closer to realizing your vision. We also gladly make our contacts available when searching for potential partners, allies and investors. Because we are convinced that one gets further together and want to contribute to creating an open and strong ecosystem in Heilbronn where innovations and startups can flourish.
