What are the welcome week and the O-phase?

The welcome week is a program for all our international students. We would like to get to know you and introduce you to our campus, German culture and language.

The Orientation phase is a program for all students who complete the entire study program with us or come here as an exchange student. The aim of the O-phase is to obtain information about studying in Künzelsau, student life and to make contact with other first-year students and students from the higher semesters.

What can I expect in the welcome week and in the O-phase?

Both programs contain information, fun and the opportunity to network :-)

To ensure that you arrive safely and have a pleasant start, we offer a variety of activities and support during the Welcome Week. These include a campus tour, opportunities to get to know Künzelsau and the surrounding region, social and sports activities with fellow students and professors, as well as support with important practical matters, such as appointments at the town hall or the bank. Incoming exchange students also have the opportunity to take part in an excursion organized by the International Office.

The O-phase focuses on getting to know the university, your fellow students and the region. The program includes information sessions, a Künzelsau Rallye, social activities, Company Games with companies from the region, and a variety of opportunities to connect with other students and professors. The program ends with an O-phase quiz with great prizes! :-)
