Programme focus
The special feature of this study programme ist the Double Degree in Germany and Argentina. Students get degrees from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) in Buenos Aires and from Heilbronn University.
The Master in Intercultural Arts Management focuses on training students to be able to work in international and intercultural contexts with the necessary sensitivity and competence as well as the theoretical background. Students should be able to shape (cultural) transformation processes, involve diverse communities, create and manage cultural projects and lead international teams. The duration of the program is four terms. The first semester is online, the second semester is spent studying at Heilbronn University - Campus Künzelsau, the third semester consists of an internship at a partner organisation either in Germany or Argentina and the fourth semester is spent at UNA where the Master thesis is written.
The Master in Intercultural Arts Management offers a mix of sound theoretical knowledge, intercultural competence as well as entrepreneurial and creative skills that makes students sought after experts in a variety of fields and international organisations.
They will inter alia be able to work in a diversity of cultural institutions, in politics, journalism or as entrepreneurs. The curriculum developed for the double degree program opens doors to potential employers through projects and the compulsory internship at renown partner organisations either in Germany or Argentina.
You can apply for the master's programme regardless of your bachelor's degree. If more candidates apply than there are places available, preference will be given to students with a first degree in cultural studies, humanities, and social sciences.
Only students holding the above-mentioned degrees are eligible for the seven DAAD scholarships. Prior experience in the cultural sector will also be taken into account.
Yes. International IAM students receive support with accommodation through the International Office at Campus Künzelsau. The International Office provides guidance on housing options, the local rental market, and application procedures. While accommodation cannot be guaranteed, the team supports students before and after arrival. For housing-related questions, please contact the International Office at Campus Künzelsau: international-kuen@hs-heilbronn.de.
International as well as national students can apply for places in the newly build student residence on campus. Places there should be available from February 2027 onwards.
Yes. IAM students are allowed to work alongside their studies, and the programme is designed to support this. The first semester is taught online and during the second semester in Künzelsau the lectures will - wherever possible - be scheduled from Monday to Wednesday, giving students additional flexibility for part-time work, internships, or project-based employment. In addition, the programme actively supports students in establishing contacts with cultural organisations particularly in Germany and Argentina during the obligatory internship in the 3rd Semester. This structure helps students to combine their academic studies with valuable professional experience, contribute to financing their studies, and build a professional network.
Due to organisational reasons, admission decisions can be issued from January 15 onwards.
