In order to slow the spread of the coronavirus Sars-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 disease, our library's operations have been placed under restrictions to help to limit personal contacts to what is absolutely necessary and to reduce the risk of infection.
The following measures and regulations apply until further notice:
At the moment, we only ask you to make use of purchase suggestions and the ordering service for new print titles in case of an emergency; due to the current situation, we cannot guarantee prompt delivery

Electronic media can be searched via the online catalog or BOSS. For access to licensed electronic media you need to be connected via VPN or authenticate yourself to Shibboleth, further information is provided on the LIV-Website.
Access to the Library is granted to all staff, students, researchers and guest users in possession of a valid library card, which may be presented to any of the Library staff members if so required.
Personal data of all persons accessing the library premises may be collected according to CoronaVO regulations in oder to allow backtracing if necessary.
A maximum of 150 persons per stay may be granted access to the library by one of our staff members.
Social distancing regulations, route guidance as well as the wearing of masks may be complied with at all times.
Book loans may occur exclusively via self-service machines on account of the valid library card. There will be no staff member to assist with book loans at the information desk on the ground level of the library.
Library items may be returned via the self-return machine within the library or sent by mail. Reserved items may also be collected from our pick-station.
Access to the physical book collection within the Library on the Bildungscampus between 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
From now, access to the physical book collection is only possible after prior registration.

Our learning environments remain still out of reach for our customers. Library access is permitted as follows:

Customers are requested to restrain their presence within the premises of the Library to a maximum of 30 minutes per visit.
