Electrical Systems Engineering – a Key Technology

Without a doubt: Electronics and information technology are key technologies that play a major role in almost every device in our daily lives. And while development stagnates in most basic technologies, experts expect to see a continuous innovation boost in electronics.

Previous experience wanted

A 12-weeks internship is obligatory except for applicants with a previous apprenticeship or work experience in a related field or with an entrance qualification from a "Technischen Gymnasium", a two-years "Berufskolleg" with the qualification as "Technische Assistentin" or "Technischer Assistent". Upon request, the pre-internship can be completed also after the start of studies until the beginning of semester 4.

In the last study phase, you have considerable freedom to specialise in certain key topics that you have worked on in your internship. In addition, you can choose from a range of courses in other engineering programmes. Finally, you will also get an insight into business studies and enhance your social competences.

The last part of your studies consists of the Bachelor thesis. This will be a project at the university or in cooperation with a company that is planned, organised and implemented independently by each student.
