In the Management and Human Resources degree programme you will complete a two-semester foundation course in Business Administration. In addition to the economic foundations of management, you will also learn about private commercial law and tax law. You will gain specific knowledge in all aspects of modern HR combined with cultural and international topics as well as basic language training in Business English.
In the main course, interdisciplinary skills are acquired in all relevant fields of operational and strategic human resource management. Among other things, these deal with personnel policy, recruiting, motivational systems, personnel development, foreign assignments and personnel research.
You will gain insight into the current human resources work of companies within the scope of regular specialist lectures as well as study trips. The degree programme is supplemented by a potential semester abroad.
a graduate, you will design international human resources strategies and be a part of them yourself. In addition, you will be able to manage all relevant processes of human resources, e.g. in personnel planning, recruitment or personnel development, analyse, solve and design complex human resources problems. The degree programme is geared to the requirements of advancing globalisation and demographic developments.
After graduation, professional positions in human resources will be open to you in companies of all industries and sizes. There are areas of work in the field of management consulting. The Bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Resources is modular in structure. A module consists of various one or more teaching units that are grouped thematically. At the end of the semester there is one performance review per module. The graphic below illustrates the modules of the foundation course. In the first two semesters, you will receive basic training in business administration.

The main course of studies is devoted entirely to Human Resources and shows the different facets of modern HR work. The core areas of human resource management are covered such as: human resource planning and controlling; recruitment and release of staff as well as organisational development and remuneration systems. The special legal issues of human resource management and special features of international and intercultural human resource management are also covered.

In the practical semester you will be able to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge you have acquired. In addition, you will gain practical experience in human resources for a subsequent bachelor’s thesis. The content of the practical study semester is to perform qualified work in a selected area of human resources. We recommend that you work on special projects and in an international context. Of course, we will also support you with finding an internship abroad.
