E-Media Laboratory
Film studio and podcast studio
R.5.11
The LIV at the Bildungscampus Heilbronn has an e-media lab that can be booked using the room booking tool Zeitwart.
Usability
Use of the e-media lab (film studio, podcast studio) is permitted exclusively for applied research projects, teaching purposes and public relations work for the above-mentioned institutions. Use for private or commercial purposes is not permitted.
First Use
For your first use, please create a booking request via our room booking tool Zeitwart.
Once we have confirmed your appointment, you will receive an information email and a QR code, which you must bring with you to your appointment.
At the beginning of your appointment, you will receive a brief introduction to the equipment from our library staff. The introduction takes approx. 5-15 minutes and can be requested Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 15:00.
Normal Use
Monday – Friday from 08:00 – 18:00 (during service hours)
Reservations can be made using the room booking tool Zeitwart.
To save the recorded file, bring an electronic device that has a USB or USB-C port (e.g. laptop).

Booking Process
Requirements
Please be aware that a library account is required to issue the access card and that your library card must be presented.
It takes approximately 10 minutes to create a library account.
- Students
- Employees and professors
Students at DHBW and HHN automatically receive a library account upon enrolment.
Students at TUM HN receive a free library account upon request.
Handing out & returning of access cards
Access cards are available Monday – Friday from 8:00 – 17:55 at the info desk on the ground floor.
Access cards will be given no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of the booked time slot.
The access card must be returned immediately, at the latest 5 minutes after the end of the time slot.
Cancellation
If you are unable to attend the appointment or no longer need it, please cancel it.
The Studios
R.5.10 Podcast-Studio
For your professional podcast and audio production, you have access to first-class technical equipment that meets high quality standards. This includes a high-quality audio interface that ensures precise signal processing, sensitive microphones with clear sound reproduction, and comfortable headphones that allow for detailed acoustic control during recording and editing. This equipment offers the ideal conditions for creating podcasts, voice recordings, interviews, or other formats where excellent sound quality is paramount.
R.5.12 Film-Studio
A comprehensive selection of high-quality equipment is available for your professional video-based production. This includes modern cameras with sharp image quality, efficient microphones for clear and interference-free sound recording, a teleprompter to assist with the presentation of texts, and a green screen that gives you creative freedom in designing your background. This equipment offers ideal conditions for the implementation of advanced video formats – whether for tutorials, presentations, interviews, or other audiovisual content.
Mobile Equipment
If the e-media lab is fully booked or you would like to record outside the lab, you can use our mobile equipment. To do so, please send a request to e-service@liv-bib.de.
