In addition to previous information provided at the beginning of the lecture period, please find hereafter further information regarding study and examination issues in the current situation.
The Corona Ordinance regarding the universities (CoronaVO Studienbetrieb) has been changed to clarify that an FFP2 mask has to be worn whenever a mask mandate exists indoors.
This mandate applies explicitly indoors and in classrooms. The exemptions for oral presenters and lecturers (§ 4 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 CoronaVO Studienbetrieb) are still in place.
The university leadership has decided to implement an FFP2 mask mandate for the entire duration of exams if the 7-day-incidence is above 500 infections per 100,000 people in the respective region: Heilbronn, Hohenlohekreis, or Schwäbisch Hall respectively. The exemption for exams (§ 4 Abs. 2 Nr. 3 CoronaVO Studienbetrieb) shall not be applicable in these cases.
There are some adjustments to the Corona Ordinance for Study Operations (CoronaVO Studienbetrieb). They partly apply as of 26th of November.
As of Monday, 29th November, participation in on-campus courses, as well as the use of student study spaces, is only possible in accordance with the 2G rule.
However, there are exceptions for "mandatory practice-orientated courses,“ such as laboratory courses, where the 3G rule will apply. For this purpose, Hochschule Heilbronn compiled a list of affected courses.
You will need to present an appropriate document at the entry check for 3G activities. Right after the course you will need to pick up the document at the entry check again.
Students who cannot attend courses due to 2G will receive support from their respective lecturers on how to participate in their studies. Lecturers will specify this for their courses and it does not need to be requested individually. This support may consist of PowerPoint with audio, lecture notes/scripts, literature references or further documents. It is also possible that affected students participate in hybrid lectures, provided this can be implemented by the lecturer. The students concerned have no claim to online or hybrid lectures. In this context, it is also to be pointed out that it is not within the decision-making authority of individual lecturers to completely convert their own lectures from face-to-face to online for all participating students.

Testing at the university will be phased out in the near future. Rapid antigen tests are once again free of charge and can be done at testing stations.
You are welcome to stay in the buildings between lectures. However, you must wear your mask at all times and maintain a distance of 1.5 meters to others as much as possible.
You are also welcome to use free lecture rooms. In this case, you can "check in" via the Luca app using the displayed QR codes.
We will adjust our hygiene concept so that the CoronaVO Absonderung (Coronavirus Ordinance-Quarantine and Isolation) applies regarding the matter of access restriction for contact persons. If you have had close contact with a person infected with Covid and there is the possibility that self-isolation rules may apply, you may not enter the university until the health authorities have made a decision and, if necessary, for the duration of the ensuing ordered isolation.
If you are Corona positive, please report first to your local Health Authorities and in the second step, we would be pleased if you contact the university at Corona-Fall@hs-heilbronn.de or 0172/4120085.
