Teaching and Research

My lecture duties cover the following subjects, although I might not be actively teaching all of them in any given semester:

  • Fundamentals of the Management of Production
  • Introduction to Project Management
  • Fundamentals of Lean Production
  • Change Management
  • Digital Factory and Material Flow Simulation
  • Meeting Facilitation and Communication
  • Lead Coordinator of The Learning Factory, Project Supervision
  • Logistics Lab

In my research I focus primarily on state-of-the-art concepts in project management, i. e. agile practices and methods, and the various applications of lean management. In addition to that, I am involved in researching boundary conditions for successful problem-based and project-organized learning (PBL/POPBL).

Thesis and Project Supervision

First and foremost, I supervise student projects as well as bachelor’s and master’s theses with topics related to lean production and project management. Other specialty topics include industrial engineering (e. g. plant design), production logistics, quality assurance, and discrete-event simulation of material flow processes.

Please get in touch with me if you wish supervision in any of the above mentioned areas.
