Studying with disability

State funding for students

Financing your studies might not always be easy. However, there are financial support options available, e.g. BAföG or scholarships.

Social and Financial Counselling Service of Student Services

Students experiencing financial, social or personal difficulties may seek help at the counselling centres of their local student services. The Studentenwerk Heidelberg (Heidelberg Student Services) is responsible for Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences.

You can find further information, contact persons and the office hours of the Social Counselling Centre of Heidelberg Student Services under

.

BAföG offices

The local BAföG offices located nearby the student services process the applications for financial support based on the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG) (German Federal Law on Support in Education). They also advise you on "academic adjustments" that are available to students with disabilities receiving BAföG.
