Studierendenwerk or Student Services

As the institution responsible for student housing, canteens, cafeterias, and day care centres in Germany, the Student Services play an active role in University life. They further support students in their everyday university life, including study financing and counselling on various aspects of life. The Studierendenwerk Heidelberg is responsible for Heilbronn University.

Warm lunch meals and snacks to keep you going, such as sandwiches and pastries, are served at the university's canteen and cafeteria. Warm lunch is available during the lecture periods, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The cafeteria is open Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. At the cafeteria you can pay with cash. At the canteen you pay with your Campus card.

The Campus card is available at the canteen cash register for a deposit of five euros. You may then upload credit onto the card at the cash point, using cash or your EC card. You will also need your Campus card to buy beverages from the vending machines in the university buildings.

Office of Student Services

The Office of Student Services provides advice and support regarding issues or problems students may have with their everyday university life, e.g. support with finding accommodation, support with finding part-time-jobs, contact and help for prospective students and students with disabilities.

. The office is at the Heilbronn Campus – Sontheim, Room B026.

The Office of Student Services has also set up a job database for part-time jobs in conjunction with the accommodation database. You can login via your university account.

Protestant and Catholic University Community

The Protestant and Catholic Community of Heilbronn University (Evangelische und katholische Hochschulgemeinde Heilbronn or EKHG) provides a place where students can meet and talk with other students or members of the university. You can meet new people - and find out together what 'faith' means. Students can take part in various workshops (e.g. study competence, spirituality, cooking, ...) to learn something new or follow their interests.
