The Library - collections, services and locations

The University Library is responsible for providing all students, teachers and employees of the University with literature. It thus has branches at all four University locations, which are tailored to the respective degree programs.

The Library at the Heilbronn-Sontheim campus is the largest, holding over 100,000 media units. Its entrance is on the ground floor of the E building. The Künzelsau Library is located on the first floor of the D building. The library in Schwäbisch Hall is also on the first floor. At the Bildungscampus in Heilbronn the library is located in the basement of the N-Bulding.

You may order media that is not available at your University location. For further information click here, or contact the Library personnel.

Aside from its collection of printed media, the Library has consistently expanded its stock of electronic books since 2005. There are now over 40,000 e-books available to Library users.

These and the printed collection are listed in the online catalogue and BOSS research tool, which can be accessed via the University's computer network or via the VPN Client from anywhere.

Moreover, the University has acquired database licences in order to provide its users with a comprehensive collection of magazines, technical information, statistics, etc. You can access the databases directly via ReDI. A large part of the content is also available via BOSS. Unrestricted access to the database is only available via the University's computer network or VPN.
