BA Business Administration

Vocational Relevance

Heilbronn lies in an area known as the"Region of World Market Leaders". Many global players, including Audi, Bosch and Würth, as well as small and medium-sized market-leaders, such as Dieffenbacher, Schunk and Bechtle, have their headquarters in the Heilbronn-Franken region. Business Administration students can benefit from the close and longstanding links the University of Applied Sciences has forged with these local companies, giving them an excellent starting point to jump-start their career.

These contacts are maintained and fostered by our Advisory Committee. The members of the committee provide expertise and proactive support in developing the programme and ensuring the curriculum is relevant, up to date and oriented to the needs of the business world. The members also act as "ambassadors" for the course and ensure that knowledge transfer is successfully put into practice.

The newly-founded Center for Business and Management „Zentrum für Betriebswirtschaft und Unternehmensführung“ (zfbu) acts as a research partner for joint projects and knowledge transfer.

Experts from our partner companies are constantly involved in our lectures, placements and projects, acting as visiting lecturers, project leaders, mentors, guest speakers and sponsors, ensuring that our students' learning is relevant and closely related to actual business practice. It is not uncommon for successful projects to lead to a position in one of our partner companies.

The professors teaching on the programme are associated with a large number of activities and initiatives, ranging from contacts with individual companies to involvement with specialist institutes and entrepreneurs' groups:

  • Unternehmerkreis Marketing & Vertrieb (Marketing and Sales Group)
  • Institut für Strategie und Controlling (ISC) (Institute of Strategy and Management Accounting)
  • Institut für Unternehmensrecht (IFU) (Institute of Company Law)
