Excursion: University Info Day SAP AG

40 students of the BU course managerial accounting visited the University Info Day of SAP AG in St. Leon-Rot (05. November 2013): The University Info Day provided an opportunity for the students to get to know the corporate culture, the way of working as well as employees from different departments. The day provided first insights for the participating students into the business world of SAP AG. Entry and career opportunities were presented by employees from several departments in the course of a company lecture as well as in personal discussions.

Study Week USA: Land of contrasts – Summer 2013

This year's study tour took place in May, when Prof. Dr. Ralf Dillerup accompanied a group of 22 students (Bachelor and Master) from the Heilbronn University as well as 5 students from the Nürtingen University on a visit to our partner universities in Seattle and Wyoming.
Besides cultural activities the students attended academic lectures and visited global players such as Microsoft, Amazon and Boeing.

Claus Perl, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG

Guest lecture: EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG

On Thursday the 13.12.2012, the fourth semester of the Business Administration programme had the chance to meet a member of a works council. Claus Perl, member of the joint works council of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG gave practical insights on the employment law. The guest lecture took place in the course Employment Law and Compliance, held by Prof. Dr. Eisele. Besides various practical examples, Claus Perl informed the students about many details concerning the work of a works council. Thank you very much!


Markus Blümle, E.G.O. Blanc and Fischer & Co. GmbH

Excursion: E.G.O. Blanc und Fischer & Co. GmbH

More than 50 students visited the impressive Technology and Development Center of E.G.O. situated in Obererdingen. Mr. Blümle, human resources director and responsible for social affairs welcomed the group. E.G.O. has been recently awarded for their implemented innovative working-time concept. After the company presentation (illustration 1) the students had the chance to visit the production facilities (radiating heaters and cooking surfaces) – in some areas the students had to wear protective clothing (illustration 2). The well-established cooperation with the company was intensified by the excursion.

The excursion took place in the course HR-Management (first semester) held by Prof. Dr. Daniela Eisele.

Guest lecture: Alfred Kärcher GmbH

Mr. Udo Baumann, responsible for the new employer branding campaign of the Alfred Kärcher GmbH, talked with the first semester students about the new concept (illustration 1). The focus is on the slogan “the difference is you” which is similar to the slogan of the company “Kärcher makes the difference”. Mr. Udo Baumann explained the concept, the implementation and gave some insights about the success of the campaign.

The guest lecture took place in the course HR-Management (first semester) held by Prof. Dr. Daniela Eisele.

Study Week HS Heilbronn and Seattle University - SS 2012

Students from the Bachelor (BU) and Master (MU) programme spent an intensive week on the beginning of September during the Study Week organised by the HS Heilbronn and the Seattle University. Besides cultural activities the students visited SAP, Audi, Dieffenbacher and BMW for presentations and factory tours.

Visit to Trumpf - Summer Semester 2012

Just after 1.00 pm on Thursday 14 June about 40 first-semester Business Administration students, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Eisele, set off along the Autobahn A81 to visit the Trumpf headquarters in Ditzingen, arriving just before 2.00 pm. The group was met by Cristiane Grunwald, Head of Staff Recruitment and Development, and Lisa Türk from the University Marketing Team (Illustration 1).

The group listened to a presentation about the company and its HR activities, in particular its recruitment policies. The students had a lot of questions concerning placement opportunities abroad, internships and undergraduate dissertations, and discovered that Trumpf offers a lot of help and support in all these areas.

The group then enjoyed a tour of the site, and learned a lot about Trumpf's customers, in-house production facilities, logistics, personnel management and many other aspects of the company's activities. Finally they were shown the latest punching and cutting machines (TruPunch5000, TruLaser3030), which produced little souvenirs for the group to take away (Illustration 2).

2012 Gemeinsam in Bewegung Study Tour 2012 - China

This year's study tour took place from 2.06.2012 to 6.06.2012, when Prof. Dr. Ralf Dillerup accompanied a group of 13 students from the Faculty of Business and Transport Management on a visit to our partner university in Hefei and Shanghai.

Project Week 2012 - Zwolle, Holland

From 28.04.2012 to 09.05.2012 Prof. Dr. Margarete Seidenspinner accompanied a group of students from the Faculty, the majority of them incoming Exchange students, to an Intercultural Project Week in Zwolle, Holland.
