Unternehmensführung / Business Management (M.A.)

High quality curriculum and teaching quality

The Master in Business Management offers an innovative curriculum structure that balances in-classroom instruction with hands-on workshops and seminars. The small class size ensures that students have plenty of one-on-one interaction and creates an intense relationship with the professors teaching.

The program contains seven core modules, namely Organization Theory, Corporate Functions, Key Competencies, Human Resources Management, Strategic Information Management, Economic Policy and Strategic Management.

The first semester – you can start in spring or autumn - introduces the participants to the most important business principles, operations and processes as well as the essential management and research approaches.

The second semester focuses on strategy development and implementation. These subjects are supplemented by competence-based contents aimed at developing the learners’ interpersonal skills (such as Projects, a module which may include international weeks as well as assignments with international virtual student groups).

The final stage has been earmarked for the Master Thesis which is based on in-company project work or on independent student research. The Master Thesis also can be written in cooperation with one of the several partner universities to graduate with a double degree.

In the latest CHE Ranking the Bachelor programme Betriebswirtschaft und Unternehmensführung (B.A.) as well as the Master programme Unternehmensführung / Business Management (M.A.) are amongst the top ten business programmes in Germany. Particularly the high practical relevance and the international orientation have been highlighted.
