Master Thesis
Students can apply for topics of the Master Thesis at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest. Students need guidance professors for their Master Thesis.
The period to completing the Master Thesis shall be six months.
The Master Thesis constitutes the examination work which includes the academic education. It shall prove the candidate’s ability to handle problems in the field in the studied programme independently and with scientific methods.
The topic will formally be issued by the chairperson of the Examination Board. The date of issue shall be noted down in the examination record.
The Master Thesis has to be available in three copies by the last day of the period allocated for its writing. Otherwise it will be considered graded “not sufficient” (5.0). The date of submission shall be put on record. When submitting his or her Master Thesis, the candidate has to affirm in written that his or her work has been composed independently and no other sources and means others than those specified has been used.
The submitted Master Thesis shall be assessed by two examiners (guidance professor plus another professor).
If the Master Thesis is graded with “not sufficient” (5.0), the student can address to the Examination Board the request of a repetition with a new subject.
